quick update

1/11- Got my asus q302la today, seems to be fine except the flip lock thing doesn't seem to be working perfectly. The keyboard will lock but the trackpad is not locked. Will see if CFE have a charger, chances are I will just buy one.
Almost done with my milwaukee battery, will upload a more detailed version tomorrow.
Also I should receive my dell board tomorrow.

1/10- I took apart the wowwee robosapien v2 my dad found a few weeks ago. That thing is toasted and I salvaged some crappy motor and switches and infrared sensor? Any way, I am surprised how cheap this shit is. All the cable inside gone bad, the motor is not a the one that return position(servo motor?). CHEAP!  But I am gonna experience with the infrared sensor once I got my arduino and knows how to use it.

1/5 getto reflow accident

Tried to reflow the chip on the dell monitor I got with a heat gun and slodering flux. An accident happen where I tried to move the chip to see if the solder is softwen but I move it a little toooooooo hard and move the chip further than I want to be. FUCK. I tried to put it back into its original socket but no luck. The monitor just turns on when I plug it in the power which it is not suppose to do. plus there is no image.

I ordered a main board from ebay for $70 and hopefully I will work.
Today at my volunteer job, we got a bunch of old amd turion cpu and mobo. Also some cooler and manual for core 2 duo and 3 gen i7. Sucks its only the cooler not the chip, but I took the manual out which have stickers on so I can decorate my labtop with core 2 duo and i7 sticker.

1/4

work went well today, gonna get paid Thursday.

cut a piece of scrap wood today and will shape it to my drill very soon.  sometimes it is really hard to do without a right tool.

Finally bought a arduino kit today for 20. it is a clone with non swappable microcontroller. I think it will be a good starter incase I didn't end up playing with it.

gonna go to CFE tomorrow to reflow the lid board of my Dell monitor,  will see how it goes. might need to get some Flux tho.  we'll see.

Milwaukee cont.

so yesterday I tried to just booked it up to the positive and negative terminal but it didn't work. Today I went to homes homedepot  and "borrowed" the battery and reverse engineer it since I don't have one.  I read all the voltage guess how the connection work with the the little diagram I posed. made some clips and connect battery and it Worked.  I am very surprise yet got me into wondering why do they have it design like that.  going to make my battery for this thing very soon.  I am planning to use wood and some velcro do make my ghetto battery.  I am excited.

Milwaukee cordless drill

today I got Milwaukee impact drill for free.  the bit itself is stuck so we drill a hole onto  the bit and pull it out with a tapping screw.  it got out.  Then I try to hook up a diy to battery pack onto it and see if it work.  no luck.  will buy a m18 battery pack the and study it.

happy new year!

Today I pick up so old electronic from the side of the road. A switch that lets you view multiple computer with one monitor keyboard and mouse. A sony vaio station and a fuji home server thing. These will all goes to recycle. The big score is a dell u3011 30" monitor, it appears to have horizontal strip on the left half of the screen and will try reflowing the BGA sat.

Also try to see if I can find some local mac address on xfinity hotspot with kali but no luck on that.

Just as a recap I made my battery pack for my ebike on december. thats a 12s 48 volt system broken into 2 pack so I can charge it with my imax b6 balance charger.
